After completing studies and Santa Barbara City College and Theatre Arts Institute, Cervantes stayed true to his passion and continued working for numerous florists and event designers. While working under other florists, Cervantes recognized his ability to take the lead.
With the desire to match his name with his talent, he began NICO Designs and it was official. Cervantes has more than 15 years of experience with the concept, creativity, and arrangements of floral, and has rapidly grown as a full-fledged event designer. Well known in Santa Barbara for his participation in weddings and corporate events, he was named as one of Santa Barbara's top floral designers by the "Knot's List of Best Weddings", and mentioned in Santa Barbara wedding articles repeatedly.
Cervantes is now the principal designer of the recently launched NLC Productions. NLC Productions envelops every aspect of event design from concept to completion. His unique and versatile style enables him to bring any idea or vision to life in the most memorable fashion. Cervantes is on the verge of achieving his dream, making NLC Productions into a Santa Barbara household name.
Cervantes was named as a finalist in the Best Fundraising Event category for the 2011 Special Event Gala Awards, one of the special event industries largest conferences and most celebrated honors, for his "Starry Night" fundraiser benefiting the Save the Arts Program for children who attended the Peabody Charter School. The event was held at the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum and not only paid homage to artist Vincent Van Gough, but utilized the natural elements the location had to offer. Cervantes' role in the Santa Barbara fundraising community also involves volunteer work done on behalf of the Santa Barbara and Carpinteria Girls Inc. and CASA.
Most recently, Cervantes spoke to 500 of his industry peers at Event Solutions Idea Factory at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas; a conference with over 6,000 attendees annually. While in Las Vegas, Cervantes was asked to judge the ISES Las Vegas tabletop competition at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. |

Born and Raised in Santa Barbara, California, Nico Cervantes has always been enamored with the idea of nature. Gifted from birth, Nico was practically born with a flower behind his ear. By the age of eight, he was already decorating at parties. This hobby quickly grew into a lifestyle.
